Study Skills The study skills curriculum parallels the core curriculum integrating the practice of skills with subject content. Many of the note-taking procedures, test-taking skills, vocabulary development and researching techniques taught by the teacher are integrated into the subject material. A basic framework has been established for the teachers and the students in the area of note-taking, research paper writing, essay or composition writing and vocabulary development (note-cards). Students will gradually progress through the skills developing higher-level management of the skills as they go from a freshman level course to a senior level course.
