Parent Meeting and Tour Parents attend a prospective parent orientation and tour of the campus beginning in October. The orientation and tour take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Completing the Application Parents complete and submit all application documents to the admissions office. A nonrefundable application fee of $100 must accompany application documents. Parents deliver the release of records form and confidential teacher evaluation forms to their child's current school. At least one letter of recommendation from a coach, scout leader, minister, rabbi, etc. should be included with the application. If your child has a psychoeducational evaluation, please include the report with the admissions material. This report will assist in placement decisions.
Testing, Interview and Tour St. Francis contacts parents to schedule placement testing for the applicant after all application documents have been received. Placement testing lasts about one and a half hours for students applying to grades K-12. Applicants for the PreK program visit for about 45 minutes.
After placement testing is complete, parents will be asked to call the school office to schedule a tour of the campus and an interview for 3rd-8th grade applicants. The interview and tour take about 30 minutes. Students applying for PreK, 1st, 2nd, and 9th-12th have a tour/interview the same day as testing.
Decision Notification After the Admissions Committee reviews all information for prospective students, a notification letter of the Admissions Committee's decision is mailed to parents the first Friday in April.
