Jr. Beta Club Organizes Food Drive

This year the Saint Francis Middle School Junior Beta Club hopes to collect 1500 items this year between December 2nd and December 11th. Food Pantry

‘Tis the season; the holidays are rapidly approaching!  Stores have Thanksgiving and holiday décor on display, and all of us are excited about the time with our friends and families.  While this is a joyous time of year for most of us, it can be extremely difficult for others in our local communities.  To help these families in need, the Saint Francis Middle School Junior Beta Club is joining North Fulton Community Charities to organize a food drive to help stock their Food Pantry.

The North Fulton Community Charities help families in the Roswell and Alpharetta areas.  They currently serve 130 families daily with approximately 115 of these families receiving food assistance.   Distributing 2.0 tons of food a day, the NFCC relies on donations from the community.  Thus, we are seeking your help.

The Saint Francis Middle School Junior Beta Club hopes to collect 1500 items this year between December 2nd and December 11th.  To reach this goal, we are asking each student to bring in five items from the list below to the student’s homeroom.  Please bring the donations in a paper bag All donations are greatly appreciated regardless of amount and may be dropped off at the St. Francis Middle School office.  The items below are those for which NFCC is of immediate need.

As of November 1, 2013 the following items are in short supply in the Food Pantry.

Listed in order of greatest need!

Cereal & Oatmeal
Meals in a can (ravioli, beef stew, chili, beef-a-roni, etc)
