7th Grade Boys’ Basketball Win NAML Championship

Knight with interlocking SF 615Congratulation to our Saint Francis Boys’ 7th Grade Basketball Team finished the season with a perfect record of 12-0.  The Knight’s basketball team coasted through the regular season and advanced to the playoffs as the #1 overall seed.

The road to the championship was not easy.  Close wins over Walker and North Cobb Christian gave the Knights confidence that they could win tightly contested games.  That confidence paid off in the championship against an equally powerful Dawson Christian team.

The Knights took an early lead only to see it evaporate against an upset-minded Dawson team.  Saint Francis started the second half with a slim one point lead.  However, they never faltered.  All the boys made big shots when it counted and crucial foul shots to solidify the lead in the end.  As the final whistle blew, the Knights had capped off a perfect season with a 44-37 victory, winning the NAML championship.

Congratulations to the whole 7th grade Knights basketball team:  7th graders– Matthew Horner, Justin Garber, Kyle Bork, Sam Henn, Pablo Alvarez, Plato Constantinides, Sam Salama, Josh Harp-Zhu, Bret Madren, 6th graders–Chase Ellis, Hunter Jones and Jack Gerber.
