Eden Daney (Sr.) and Haley Barden (Jr.) Win at State Art Competition

The annual All-State Art Symposium is dedicated to promoting and recognizing the creative talents of high school students from Georgia’s school districts.  The symposium’s workshops, juried exhibition and other events provide high school students with cultural opportunities, develop advanced studio skills, and cultivate aestheticappreciation while recognizing excellence in high school art education.This year St. Francis had two student’s work chosen as State Winners and their work displayed at the CornCenter for the Visual Arts Gallery at ColumbusStateUniversity.  Senior, Eden Daney and Junior, Hayley Barden each had their photographs chosen as State Winners. Final awards were presented at the All State Art Symposium on May 17th, at which time, Junior Hayley Barden’s photograph “Under the Park” (shown right) won a Bronze Ribbon for fourth place.
