MACON, Ga. — Three St. Francis players scored more than 20 points on Saturday to lift the Knights to a 95-81 win over Greenforest Academy in the championship game of the Georgia High School Association’s Class A Private boys division.

It was the second straight championship Saturday at the Macon Coliseum for St. Francis (29-3), coached by Drew Catlett, nephew of former West Virginia coach Gale Catlett.

Kobi Simmons had 27 points and five assists, Xavier signee Kaiser Gates had 23 points and nine rebounds. Florida State signee Malik Beasley had 23 points and seven rebounds. St. Francis also got 10 points and seven rebounds from Chance Anderson.

Greenforest (27-2) was led by John Ogwuche with 28 points and four assists. The Eagles also got 19 points, three rebounds and three steals from Justin Forrest, son of former Georgia Tech standout James Forrest, and 17 points from Justin Ravenel. KENT D. JOHNSON / AJC
