Summer Programs

ACADEMIC MORNING PROGRAM (RISING 2ND - 8TH) (9AM-12PM) - JULY 6TH - 17TH
Our Summer Academic Morning Program has proven to be extremely beneficial for students who wish to reinforce major academic areas or simply avoid the summer academic slump.  Instruction includes the use of standardized textbooks, supplemental teaching materials, audio, visual, kinesthetic aids and equipment.  Each child is placed at an appropriate learning level for each skill area.  Classroom instruction is conducted by accredited teachers experienced in working with children with learning weaknesses.  Parents receive an individualized progress report at the completion of the program.  Average class size is 9 students per class.

AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES CAMP
Camps will be divided into age-appropriate groups, including 2nd through 4th grades and 5th through 8th grades. Campers will immerse themselves in engaging activities in the areas of art, computers, and group games.  ART: individualized instruction in painting, drawing, 3-dimensional art.  COMPUTERS: Instructions will include computer operations, simple game creation, and overall computer knowledge.  GROUP GAMES: camps will enjoy a blend of non-competitive, low-impact games as well as fun and engaging camp games, including traditional and modern favorites.

STRUCTURED LITERACY AFTERNOON CAMP (RISING 2ND - 5TH GRADE) (12:30PM - 3:30PM) - JULY 6TH - 17TH
** Upon registration, a one-hour screening will be scheduled before camp begins to ensure we tailor instruction for each camper.

Summer of Structured Literacy is a two-week afternoon academic enrichment program designed for rising 2nd through 5th grade students. This small group experience helps students strengthen foundational reading skills through multisensory instruction taught by Wilson-certified teachers. Campers build confidence as they focus on phonemic awareness, decoding and encoding, vocabulary, comprehension, morphology, and fluency. With a 12-to-2 student-to-teacher ratio, each child receives personalized support in a fun, encouraging environment.

BASKETBALL CAMP (RISING 5TH-8TH) (12:30PM - 3:30 PM) - JULY 6TH - 17TH
Coaching staff from Saint Francis High School and Middle School will cover the fundamentals of basketball, including ball handling, passing, defensive positioning and proper shooting technique. Players will learn about ball movement, rebounding and the importance of total team play.
