Opportunities for Growth and Leadership

Saint Francis High School offers a wide range of clubs that encourage students to expand their knowledge, refine their talents, and prepare for the next step in their journey. From technology and performing arts to service and academic excellence, every club is designed to challenge students to think critically and make a meaningful impact. Unlike lower grade levels, our high school clubs are offered every year, ensuring students have the opportunity to deepen their involvement and leadership over time.

Our High School Clubs

Below is an example of clubs offered at Saint Francis High School. These clubs run each year, allowing students to develop expertise, leadership, and personal growth over time.

  • Beta Club: Recognizes students for their academic excellence and commitment to service. Members lead various service initiatives, including community outreach projects and campus sustainability efforts, fostering both leadership and social responsibility.
  • National Honor Society (NHS): Open to high-achieving students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. NHS members organize events such as tutoring programs, community service projects, and mentorship for younger students.
  • History Club: Brings the past to life through guest speakers, interactive exhibits, and historical film screenings. Members engage with experts, such as Civil War historians and museum docents, to gain deeper insights into historical events.
  • Drama Club & Performing Arts: Offers students opportunities in acting, directing, and stage production. The department consistently earns regional and state-level accolades, producing high-quality performances such as Mean Girls Jr. and Hush: An Interview with America.
  • Literary Magazine (The Valiant): Provides a platform for students to publish their creative writing, poetry, and journalism. The magazine showcases student talent and is even available for public purchase on platforms like Amazon.
  • Digital Media Club: Focuses on photography, video production, and multimedia storytelling. Students gain hands-on experience with editing software and develop projects that highlight school events and community initiatives.
  • Robotics & STEM Club: Encourages innovation through robotics competitions, coding challenges, and engineering projects. Members develop real-world problem-solving skills through hands-on collaboration and experimentation.
  • Environmental Club: Champions sustainability and campus-wide environmental initiatives. Projects include recycling programs, awareness campaigns, and hands-on conservation efforts.
  • Debate & Forensics Team: Sharpens public speaking, analytical reasoning, and persuasive argumentation through structured debates and speech competitions at local and state levels.

  • Peer Leadership (Squires Program): A mentorship initiative where high school students mentor and support 5th-grade students. This program fosters leadership, service, and school-wide camaraderie.
