High School Visual Arts

Our Fine Arts Department consistently earns recognition in statewide competitions, proving that Saint Francis students are among the best young artists in Georgia. This year, five students had their artwork accepted into the prestigious Georgia High School Ceramics Arts Awards & Symposium, a testament to their exceptional talent and dedication. Additionally, the 3rd Annual Spring Arts Festival provided students with the opportunity to showcase their work—including ceramics, paintings, photography, poetry, and short stories.

Creativity extends beyond the art studio at Saint Francis, as students engage in interdisciplinary projects that merge art with other fields of study. In the Chemistry & Art Collaboration, fine arts students worked alongside chemistry students to formulate custom ceramic glazes, applying scientific principles to artistic creation. These hands-on experiences allow students to think outside the box, experiment with new techniques, and see the real-world connections between art and other disciplines.

Saint Francis students don’t just create art—they share it with the world. Through galleries, exhibitions, and publications like The Valiant (available on Amazon), students gain valuable experience in displaying, marketing, and celebrating their work. With the guidance of passionate educators, students graduate with a strong artistic foundation, a professional portfolio, and the confidence to pursue their creative passions beyond high school.
